Muse are set to get a sneak preview of a full Wembley Stadium at today's (May 19) FA Cup Final.
The band are playing two sold out shows at the home of English Football on June 16 and 17, but will get to see what the rebuilt stadium looks like when it's full as Manchester United and Chelsea contest football's oldest cup competition.
The band's bassist Chris Wolstenholme told NME.COM he will be attending today's game and will be letting his bandmates know what the venue is like.
"I only found out a couple of days ago I'd got tickets, it should be really exciting," he explained. "It will be really good to see the game, but also really useful us to see what it looks like when it's full. Because of the design of the stadium a lot of people will be watching us play there from above so we've had to take that into account when designing our stage sets."
NME.COM may announce Muse's supports for the Wembley gigs on Monday (May 21).
On June the 16th, the unofficial biography "Inside the Muscle Museum" will be re-released in UK (The release of the book coincides with Muse’s landmark Wembley Stadium dates)
Summary: "This definitive work – the only book on Muse – tells the band’s story, from their inception in the small coastal town of Teignmouth, Devon in the mid-1990s, through numerous incendiary live shows and grandiose, critically acclaimed albums, to their status as the biggest British rock band in the world.
This best-selling book is now fully updated to include Muse’s astonishing fourth album, Black Holes & Revelations, which is their biggest selling record to date, having shifted well over a million copies. Ploughing their own distinct musical furrow has finally reaped rich rewards for this trio of unlikely musical heroes, confirming the band as genuine modern day rock gods.
In this definitive account, Ben Myers tells the Muse tale through exclusive interviews with the band and numerous associates, and also includes the author’s eyewitness accounts at various stages along the way."
We are giving away 3 copies of the book, if you are interested send an email before the 25th to [Contest closed] (with your full address) and you'll be added to the draw.
Muse regret that they have had to cancel several dates on their current tour with My Chemical Romance due to members of MCR band and crew, and members of Muse's crew being struck with serious food poisoning.
The nationwide tour was brought to a standstill on Sunday when several members of My Chemical Romance's band and crew and members of Muse's crew became violently ill after the show at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA. With multiple people scattered in hospitals between State College, PA and Columbus, OH, the bands were forced to cancel Sunday night's show at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA and postpone the show in Columbus, OH from Tuesday, May 1st to Wednesday, May 2nd, provided everyone has recovered. The show originally scheduled for tomorrow night at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA has been cancelled. Muse would like their fans to know that they hope to resume the tour as soon as possible. Tickets for the April 29th Bryce Jordan and May 2nd Pittsburgh show will be refunded at point of purchase.
Currently supporting My Chemical Romance in the USA, Muse will be back on the East Coast in August for a headlining tour with Cold War Kids as a support act.
