Brit Awards 2005

Muse won the "Best British live act" (Presented by Shirley Manson) award at the Brit Awards 2005 tonight in London. Tom Kirk: "We're all going except for Matt who's travelling around the far east doing beserk things. which is a shame but im sure he's having more fun!". Dom and Chris accepted the award, thanking the absent Matt who is currently in the Kingdom of Bhutan. More pics on the gallery.

[Update] "Hey. That was a really good night. Best Live is what its all about in my view. Cheers for the support in this respect, live shows aren't really the same without fans going crazy which is where you all come in. Matt wasn't there as he is in the Kingdom of Bhutan, far far away. He was missed but will be back for the NME's. Thanks for all the voting and support. What would we do without you? Cheers, tom"

Muse picked up Best Live Act and Dominic and Chris told us why Matt Bellamy wasn't with them to pick up the award: "Matt's in the Kingdom of Bhutan getting involved with Buddha." "He says it's the most bizarre thing he's ever seen - I'm going to give him a call in a moment and tell him that we've won, I'm sure he'll be pleased." - "He said that he's seriously sunburnt - he's been in the Phillipines, and has burnt his arse." - "He's probably applying lotion to his buttocks - in the lotus position!"
